Don Mateo Cupreata is crafted by maestro mezcalero Emilio Vieyra, whose family has been producing mezcal for six generations. The agave Cupreata used in this mezcal is cultivated in the highlands above Morelia, Michoacán, at an average altitude of 7,500 feet. The terroir is characterized by sandy soil and moderate rainfall, contributing to the unique profile of this mezcal.
