Espina Negra Espadin
Espina Negra Espadín is a traditional mezcal made from sustainably cultivated Espadín (a. Angustifolia), highlighting the classic character of Oaxacan mezcal. Crafted using time-honored methods, the agave is roasted in an underground pit with mesquite and oak, crushed by tahona, and fermented in open-air wooden vats with wild yeast. It is then double-distilled in copper pot stills using natural spring water. On the nose, it offers aromas of smoked agave, tropical fruit, and fresh herbs, along with notes of wet earth, citrus peel, and white pepper. The palate is rich and smooth, featuring roasted agave, green apple, and spice, with a long, slightly sweet finish that carries smoky and earthy undertones.
