Luneta/Lucero Papalometl

$140.00

Crafted from wild Papalometl agave harvested in Guerrero, Mexico, this spirited mezcal celebrates traditional methods at every turn. Earthen pit cooking with volcanic stones and wood fire awakens the agave's natural character, while hand-crushing with wooden mallets honors time-tested techniques. Natural spring water feeds the open-air fermentation in wooden vats, where wild yeast works its magic. Double distillation in copper pot stills refines the spirit to a robust 49.4% ABV, keeping it unaged and unadulterated. Small-batch, no additives—just pure agave soul in a bottle.

Aromas: Earthy and herbal with notes of roasted agave, damp soil, and dried flowers. Also present: citrus zest, smoke, and a touch of spice.

Palate: Rich and bold with flavors of cooked agave, black pepper, and subtle tropical fruit. The finish is long and smoky with lingering mineral and herbal notes.

Luneta Papalometl Lucero is made from the rare Papalometl agave, native to Guerrero. This mezcal highlights the rugged character of the region, produced using traditional pit roasting, hand-crushing, and natural fermentation, resulting in a complex and earthy spirit.
