Nuestra Soledad Matatlán is a single-village mezcal from Santiago Matatlán, widely regarded as the mezcal capital of Oaxaca. Made from 100% Espadín, produced using time-honored methods: the agave is roasted in an earthen pit with volcanic stones and wood fire, crushed with a tahona, fermented in open-air wooden vats with natural yeast, and double-distilled in copper pot stills.

Unaged and bottled at 45% ABV with no additives, this mezcal presents a balanced expression of sweetness, smoke, and earthy complexity. Aromas of roasted agave, fresh herbs, and soft smoke are complemented by citrus peel, pepper, and wet stone. On the palate, it is smooth and slightly sweet, with flavors of cooked agave, green herbs, and white pepper. The finish is clean, with subtle smoke and lingering minerality.
