Pasión Ancestral Arroqueno + Tobala
This mezcal boasts distinctive and authentic flavors of Oaxaca agaves, carefully crafted using the traditional ancestral production style with clay distillation that Minas is renowned for. With a limited production of only 60 liters, this one of 80 bottles features a perfect blend of Arroqueno and Tobala agave, cooked in a Pre-Hispanic conical oven, fermented in a wooden vat, and distilled in clay pots. As a result, this mezcal delivers the expected smokiness and a unique, velvety mouthfeel that sets it apart.
In 1894, Grandfather Juan Colmenares (Juan Viejo) began to produce Mezcal Leno from the Palenque de la Presa located in Santa Catarina, Minas Duala. Pasion Ancestral was born to rescue the heritage and training of Mezcal, respecting and using the ancestral techniques and processes left to us by our ancestors, which have been preserved throughout the years so that we and future generations preserve our legacy.
