Pasión Ancestral Tripon
Pasión Ancestral Tripon is crafted from the maguey Tripon, a member of the agave Karwinskii family. The word "Tripon" is derived from Spanish, referring to individuals or objects with a distinctive pot-bellied shape. The maguey Tripon is perfectly named due to its round and plump figure. With a limited production of 15 liters, this unique mezcal boasts a delightful aroma of fresh-cut grass, complemented by hints of black pepper and green olive, and a velvety, sweet finish.
In 1894, Grandfather Juan Colmenares (Juan Viejo) began to produce Mezcal Leno from the Palenque de la Presa located in Santa Catarina, Minas Duala. Pasion Ancestral was born to rescue the heritage and training of Mezcal, respecting and using the ancestral techniques and processes left to us by our ancestors, which have been preserved throughout the years so that we and future generations preserve our legacy.
