Vago Arroqueño
Vago Arroqueño is a handcrafted, small-batch mezcal made from the massive Arroqueño agave that takes 15–20 years to mature. The agaves are cooked in an earthen pit using mesquite and oak, crushed with a traditional tahona, and fermented in open-air wooden vats with wild yeast, then double-distilled in copper pot stills using natural spring water.
Aromatically, it presents ripe tropical fruit, roasted agave, damp earth, citrus zest, herbal notes, and a touch of smoke. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, offering flavors of caramelized agave, dark chocolate, and black pepper. The finish is long, slightly smoky, and mineral-driven with lingering sweetness. Vago is renowned for its single-batch mezcals, created in collaboration with traditional mezcaleros to highlight the distinct terroir of each expression.
