Yuku Savi Pitzometl

Distilled by Maestro Félix Macedas in San Luis Atolotitlán, Puebla, this mezcal is made from 25-year-old Agave Marmorata, a species endemic to the Mixteca regions of Puebla and Oaxaca. The agave is roasted in a conical earthen oven, crushed with a horse-drawn tahona, and fermented in oak wood barrels with mountain spring water before being double-distilled in copper pot stills. Aged in glass for one year and bottled at 49% ABV, it opens with aromas of roasted agave and sweet yellow flowers. The palate offers delicate notes of orange blossom and strawberry, finishing with a subtle peppery spice.
